Q-SWITCH Laser Therapy
The SWISSmediscan Q-Switched laser is an energy laser pulse, which produces in billionths of a second, to release the pigment into the skin that is absorbed and disposed of the body. This non-invasive treatment is used to eliminate the appearance of brown or red spots, sun freckles or tattoos from your skin. Treatment areas can include the chest, arms, face, or legs.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
The laser treatment has been known to feel like many hot dots on the skin similar to having a tatoo. This discomfort is reduced with the SWISSmediscan system by cold air streamed into the targeted areas. Additionally, Zenn staff can provide anesthetic options for more painful treatments such as tattoo removal. In one simple treatment, SWISSmediscan Q-Switched removes greater than 75 percent of the skin imperfections. Occasionally, a second treatment is recommended to completely eliminate the discoloration.
After the SWISSmediscan Q Switch procedure, patients experience some crusts on the treated area for up to 2 weeks. It is recommended to apply Vaseline and bandages and keep them covered until it heals. Some Patients sometimes feel a burning sensation for up to a few hours post-treatment.Some risks associated with Q-Switched include new red or brown spots as the body heals, which is usually temporary. Infections and scars are rare from Q-Switched, and proper skincare is essential after treatment to maintain the outstanding results.
